How to become a member of AIU?

Who can be a member?

· Underwriters (Non-medical & Medical) working in the Underwriting function in the Life Insurance Companies (Life, Health & Group
· Senior management team members of the Life Insurance companies who control the Underwriting teams (Life/Health/Group), wherein Underwriting function is within their scope of AUDIT/control.
· “Medical support team of UW- members who report into the Underwriting function( What ,if reporting to OPS –Head)???.
· Chief Medical Officers/Medical Officers who are attached to the Underwriting function.
· Reinsurers and their respective team members who handle UW & Claims functions.
· TPA employees dealing in medical network or health underwriting
· UW Consultants with insurance companies/reinsurance companies.



Application Checklist

· Enrolment form duly signed –indicating therein complete details of employment (current, along with last two assignments wherever applicable).
· Qualifications & Topics of Interest to be noted in the Enrolment form for reference
· Alternate /personal e-mail ID to be taken along with the official mail ID.
· Current passport sized photograph, with the name and cell no. to be written on the reverse side.
· Reference of any existing member with their membership no., office, position/Title , e-mail ID, Cell no., to be mentioned therein.

Process

· Mail to be sent to office representative.
· Form + (Cash/DD/Cheque)+ 2 passport sized photographs to be collected.
· References and other details to be verified.
· Official receipts to be issued along with the ID Cards.
· Registration details ( with date of expiry) to be printed on the ID Card.
